Hi, I’m here again with another request for this wonderful website.  I found a death record for a Carl Christian Jensen & his daughter Inge Jensen dated 11 Jul 1942 in Tonder Sogn (Tonder Amt):

https://www.danishfamilysearch.com/churchbook/sogn1805/churchlisting25987/opslag5244566

They are the 4th & 5th record on the left-hand side of the image (with no number).

When you rotate the image 90 degrees – there is a long notation for them along with two other persons, Edith Margrethe Larsen & her daughter Birgit Larsen (record #40 & #41).

I would appreciate a translation of this notation.

I tried to use “Mediestream”, which has been recommended by your website but when I entered “Carl Christian Jensen” and restricted the search to “11 Jul 1942 to 19 Jul 1942” – I received hits but I cannot access the articles as I am in the USA.  I am unsure if any of the articles that came up are related to these individuals.

Thank you in advance for any help.  I am related to Carl & Inge but not the other two individuals (so far).

Kind regards,

Diane Nielsen

Bengt,

Thank you very much for your help!  It is greatly appreciated by me - I wondered if there was a WWII reason.

Have a great day!

Kind regards,

Diane

Dear Marianne!

Thank you, thank you for your help with Carl & his daughter Inge deaths.  It's sad but we must remember the losses that occurred in Denmark during WWII.  I have relatives who served in the Danish Resistance & my Dad, Cpl Alfred Nielsen, who was still a Danish citizen, served in Patton's 3rd Army.  Being chased by Germans during the Battle of the Bulge!

I saved your links & they should hopefully aid me in my Genealogy/WWII reseach,

Kind Regard,

Diane
